Rhodes women's soccer outmanned by Christian Brothers University, 4-1

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Rhodes women's soccer fell in a cross-town match up with NCAA Division II Christian Brothers University on Tuesday, 4-1.
 
The loss takes the Lynx to 9-3 overall while the Buccaneers move to 8-1-1 on the season.
 
Rhodes fell behind early as the Bucs scored in the opening six minutes when Camilla Rodrigues headed in a goal to make it 1-0. Just eight minutes later CBU scored their second goal when Katelyn Graham finished a Mariana Tonelli pass to make the deficit 2-0 for Rhodes. Rhodes fought back as Nicolette Glidden scored her third goal of the season, making the score 2-1. The Lynx would see one more Bucs score before the end of the half when Tonelli scored a goal of her own in the 32nd minute.
 
The second half saw one more CBU goal when Camilla Rodrigues found the back of the net at the 53 minute mark making the final score 4-1.
 
Two goal keepers saw time for the Lynx as Allison Cowling earned 45 minutes and one save. Chandler Kuhlman saw 45 minutes in goal and snagged three saves.
 
Rhodes was outshot by a tally of 17-5 but both squads were awarded five corner kicks each.
 
Rhodes will open its home conference schedule on Friday, Oct. 11 as they host Oglethorpe at 4:30 p.m.
