Rhodes Women's soccer defeated in-state NAIA foe Freed-Hardeman 2-0 in Memphis.
The Lynx rebounded from Saturdays game with good possession and active attack. The Lynx scored in the 17th minute when junior
Jenna Sarett finished a ball on a scrum infront of the net. Freshman
Hannah Selner was credited with the assist. The Lynx continued to press, but were unable to find the back of the net in the first half.
Rhodes added an insurance goal in the 52nd minute when freshman
Hunter Tilton scored off of a
Heidi Press corner kick.
The Lynx had a commanding lead in shots 24-1 and corner kicks 10-1.
Junior
Allison Cowling played all 90 minutes for the Lynx in the shutout win.
Rhodes continue SAA play next weekend as they travel to Berry College and Oglethorpe University.
