Memphis, TN- The Lynx started off strong and controlled much of first half of play in a 2-1 victory over the visiting Tigers.  Freshman Mary Rose Hazel gave the Lynx an early lead scoring on a direct shot on a penalty corner on an insert from Corrinne Palmer.  Rhodes out shot Sewanee 11-4 in the first period of play and earned 11 penalty corners to Sewanee's 3 but only managed the one goal.  The Tigers came out strong after the break and the second half was evenly played.  Sewanee's Anne Booke tied the game with 25 minutes to play on a direct shot on a penalty corner.  Ten minutes later senior Katie Faucher scored the game winner for Rhodes on a second opportunity on a penalty corner play.  The Lynx 5-3 (4-0 SAA)  host Centre and Transylvania next weekend, both Saturday's and Sunday's games will start at 11 am.
