The Rhodes Lynx came out playing at high intensity. The Lynx moved the ball all over the field at an extreme speed which had Principia College chasing the game most of the first half. Coach Marcinko described the performance put in by the boys as "The best Rhodes College has displayed in the last six years." It was a very entertaining match to watch as the Lynx ran all over Principia College. The first 30 minutes of the game was nothing but an a total domination by the Lynx. The Lynx midfield led by Senior
Michael Rubin was fantastic to watch how they connected passes from all over the field. The Lynx pressed Principia's defense and got in behind them but Principia College goalkeeper Samuel Thomas was terrific in goal for them. In the 84th minute Principia College Defender Patrick Harber was booked for a bad tackle which meant Principia would have to go the rest of regulation and the eventual overtime a man down. In over time
Eric Ly got in behind the Principia defense causing a nightmare for their backs but goalkeeper Samuel Thomas made some unbelievable saves to hold off the Lynx to a draw. The final score was 0-0 after 110 minutes played.
The Lynx next match is against Westminster College in Fulton, MO on Sunday at 1pm.
