The Lynx (3-1-1) battled back twice and finally ended the game in overtime against NAIA rival Lyon College in Memphis.  Lyon struck first at the 4:17 mark early in the 1st half.  Anja Klotzle played a pass that went through the Lynx defense that found Cethlinn Cunningham for the early lead.  Freshman Kelsey Keown would equalize for the Lynx in the 43rd minute when she finished a rebound from freshmen Delaney Bracken's shot that hit the post.
Just 1:40 in the 2nd half, Lyon would take the lead again.  Norma Sanchez finished the opportunitiy from the set piece played in from Brina Saddiq.  However, the Lynx would answer again in the 86th minute.  Junior Mae Casey was able to get behind the Lyon defense, and play the ball across the face of goal that found Bracken for the tap in.  The goal is Bracken's 3rd in 5 games and her 2nd game tying goal this season.
The Lynx would create several quality scoring chances before the end of regulation, but none that found the back of the net.
In the 1st overtime the Lynx continued to press to find the game winning the goal.  The Lynx found that goal when junior Paula Vasichko sent a shot into the back corner of the net from the top of the box.  The goal is the 1st for Vasichko this season.
The Lynx finished the game with 12 shots and 1 corner.  Stephanie Sermonet and Allison Cowling split time for the Lynx in net, conceding 1 goal each.

The Lynx return to action this Sunday as they face Austin College at home.  Game time is set for 11 am.
