NAPERVILLE, IL - With several athletes remaining in Memphis for graduation weekend, it was a partial squad that competed at North Central College's Dr. Keeler Invitational.
On Thursday evening, junior
Taylor Stephens (Southlake, TX) ran a 17:41.03 in the 5,000m to place seventh overall, while freshman teammate Noah Brown (Charlotte, NC) finished the 10,000m in a time of 33:41.28.
Beneath the track lights of Benedetti-Wehril Stadium on Friday, sophomore
Megan Lee (Castro Valley, CA) and freshman Jessica Burnam (McLean, VA) competed in the 400m and 200m dashes. The 400m saw Lee finish in a 1:01.59 with Burnam close behind with a 1:02.50. In the 200m Lee blasted out of the blocks and finished strong to not only win her heat but also run a lifetime best of 29.69 seconds. Burnam would cross the line shortly thereafter in a time of 28.25 seconds.
The Lynx will return to North Central College next weekend for one last meet before the national championships take place in Columbus, Ohio.
