Rhodes Men's Tennis dominated Centre this weekend in the opening matches of the annual Rhodes Invitational 9-0. Junior Ryley Erhardt and Sophomore Sanders Phelps played a grueling match against Centre's number one team, winning 9-7.
The women's team fought a hard battle against Centre's women with a final score of 4-5. Junior Alex Phipps and Senior Aya Kato came from behind, winning three games in a row to win 9-7. In the singles, Rhodes defeated Centre at the first three positions. Freshman Maggie Donoghue won 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (6-4) after a very long match. Junior Carolina Sanchez played three great sets against Centre's number four position, eventually falling short 3-6, 7-5, 6-2.
The Lynx will play Millsaps Sunday at 12.
