Rhodes started off strong and played tough all 70 minutes to earn a 4-0 victory over visiting Lindenwood in their first home game of the season.
Chelsea McLeod scored the game winner just 7 minutes into play on a pass from
Libby Feaster.
Sara Sanders scored on a pass from
Charlie Wagner to put Rhodes up 2-0 just minutes before halftime. The Lynx added two goals late in the second half to seal the win, one by
Chelsea McLeod assisted by
Lindsey Gurkovich and the second by
Sarah Kennedy on a pass from
Sara Sanders.
Kelly Whelan and
Sarah Dockery split the shutout in goal. Rhodes (7-1, 2-0) will travel to Greencastle, IN and Sewanee, TN this weekend to take on DePauw and Sewanee.
