During the annual Rhodes College Athletic Banquet, Senior Outside Hitter
Kelsea Everett was named the team's MVP for the 2009 season as voted on by her teammates and coaches.
Everett had an outstanding Senior campaign for the Lynx. In a match versus Hendrix on the season, Everett led the team with a 30 kill performance. She was also named Player of the Week by the SCAC for her play during Week 5 of the volleyball season and named 3rd Team All SCAC as voted on by the conference coaches.
Besides the numerous honors she received during the 2009 season, Everett has left her mark on numerous career volleyball records at Rhodes. She ranks in the top 20 all time in Rhodes Volleyball history for career games played, total kills, total hitting attempts, block assists, solo blocks, total blocks and blocks per game.
