The Lynx continued their shutout streak today with a 2-0 win over Hendrix in Greencastle, IN in the SCAC Tournament Semifinal.
Taylor Mills scored for the game winning goal for Rhodes in a scramble around the goalmouth mid way through the first period. The Lynx extended their lead with 16 minutes to play on a goal by
Sarah Kennedy which was assisted by
Lindsey Gurkovich. Kennedy played an outstanding match as did center mid
Charlie Wagner. The Lynx stellar defense limited the Warriors to 8 shots despite giving up 9 penalty corners including 5 of those in the last few minutes of play.
Sarah Dockery had 6 saves in goal including several key saves late in the game. The shutout is Dockery's sixth of the season. Rhodes tallied 16 shots and earned 8 penalty corners. The Lynx will play tomorrow in the SCAC Championship at 11 am against the winner of the second semifinal, DePauw vs. Centre.
