Sanders Earns Field Hockey POTW Honors

Sara Sanders, a sophomore defender from Louisville, KY, had 3 stellar performances this week in the Lynx 3-1 loss to #9 Lynchburg, and two wins at home over Sewanee and DePauw. Sara was the Lynx only defender to play all 140 minutes in the two conference matchups in which Rhodes held Sewanee and DePauw to a combined 6 shots. Sara has incredible ball control and a strong hit which make her a threat offensively as well as huge factor on the defensive end. Sara is an integral part of the team's penalty corner defense unit, which has been scored on only once in the last 11 games, successfully defending 76 of 77 penalty corner attempts by opponents since September 19^th.
