The Rhodes women's soccer team defeated SCAC travel partner Hendrix by a score of 2-0 in Conway, AR on Saturday, October 20, 2007. The Lynx improve to 9-6 overall and 5-2 in SCAC play.
Rhodes outshot Hendrix 15-0 in the first half and eventually finished with a 36-4 shot advantage over the Warriors. Lynx first year forward Bailey Morgan lit-up the scoreboard in the 15th minute with her fourth goal of the season when she and junior defender Lizzie Wright combined on a corner kick. Morgan paced Rhodes with eight shots and four shots-on-goal.
Lynx junior midfielder Kara Purdy found the back of the net in the 80th minute off junior forward Jessie Cassidy's second assist of the season. Purdy recorded six shots on the night, including two shots-on-goal.
Becca Clarin notched her 4th shutout in the net, the team's 7th of the season.
The Lynx will travel to Jackson, MS to take on the Majors of Millsaps College on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 6:00pm.
