Sydney Bosmans joined the Lynx in September of 2019 as the assistant women’s lacrosse coach. Bosmans responsibilities include assisting head coach, Meghan Keelan, with day to day operations, scouting, recruiting, as well as practice, travel and gameday logistics. In addition, Bosmans will be mentoring and developing the Lynx defense.
Prior to Rhodes, she began her lacrosse journey at Shepherd University as a two-year starter where she helped lead the Rams to back to back Mountain East Conference Championships in 2015 and 2016. After her sophomore year, Bosmans was offered a scholarship to compete for the Sun Devil Women’s Lacrosse program at Arizona State University (ASU). After red-shirting her junior year, she went on to be a prominent component of the Sun Devils defense. Bosmans started off and on her last two years due to multiple injuries. During that time, she helped lead the Sun Devils to the first round of the Pac-12 conference tournament in 2018-2019.
Bosmans graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business in 2018 with her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in business and communications. In 2019, she used her final year of NCAA eligibility to earn her master’s degree in Sports Law and Business at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU. During her time at ASU, Bosmans interned with Sun Devil Athletics (SDA) Operations and Facilities from 2017-2018. In addition, she interned for SDA Marketing and Game Presentation from 2017-2019 where she earned a lead intern position her final year.
Bosmans has two younger siblings, Ashley and Connor. Her mom, Denise, is Northeast Regional Director of Convention Sales at Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, while her dad, Richard, is a Senior Network Engineer at Fannie Mae.
