Brice Queener enters his fourth season as the head coach of the Rhodes College women's lacrosse team. He is the only head coach the program has had in its three years of existance.Â
Over the past three seasons, Queener has an impressive 36-11 record (.766). During his short tenure Queener has already won a pair of SAA Championships, including the last two, and this past season's SAA regular season title. Queener also has a NCAA Tournament win under his belt as the Lynx defeated Meredith in 2015.
Prior to Rhodes, Queener worked at the prestigious Hill Academy in Toronto, Ontario where he founded the first Women’s Lacrosse team in school history. Additionally, Queener coached the Men’s Varsity, Prep, and PG teams at The Hill Academy, working with over 60 student-athletes who graduated to play NCAA lacrosse.
Prior to The Hill Academy, Queener was an assistant lacrosse coach for Georgetown University, Binghamton University, and Siena College.
Queener enjoyed an illustrious playing career, playing collegiately at Georgetown University for legendary Hall of Fame Coach Dave Urick. Queener played in every game of his four year career for the Hoyas, and the team won the ECAC league twice. Additionally, Georgetown qualified in four straight NCAA tournaments, advancing to the Elite 8 all four seasons.
After graduating from Georgetown, Queener was drafted into Major League Lacrosse League by the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse League. Brice played two seasons for the Rattlers and has played for the past four seasons with the Hamilton Nationals, helping the team advance to the MLL finals in 2011. Most recently, Coach Queener has played for Team USA indoor against Team Iroquois in the annual Bowhunter Cup.
Queener comes from a lacrosse family, his parents, Harry and Patricia Queener are the Head Coaches of the varsity boys and varsity girls lacrosse teams in Penn Yan, New York. His sister Sarah is the Head Coach of Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and was an All-American at Yale University. Brother, Brett, is a professional lacrosse player for The Hamilton Nationals and former All-American at Albany University, and is Volunteer Assistant Coach for Syracuse University Women's Lacrosse.Â
