Brittany Hasty enters her first season at Rhodes College for the 2023-2024 season as the assistant women’s basketball coach.
Brittany joins the Rhodes Women’s basketball program after serving as a Graduate Assistant for the Women’s Basketball team at Salem University in Salem, West Virginia for the 2022-2023 season. Some of her duties as a GA included assisting practice operations, coordinating itinerary for the team, assist with basketball operations, recruiting, and various other athletic duties.
Brittany has played basketball since a very young age. In high school Brittany helped lead her team to the state playoffs and was named third team all Big Bend. Brittany continued playing basketball and softball in college at Ohio Valley University. After graduating, she accepted a graduate assistant position at Salem University where she served as a graduate assistant coach for the women’s basketball team.
Hasty graduated from Madison County High School, Madison, Florida in spring 0f 2020. She received many academic and athletic honors to include top 5 senior, scholar athlete of the week chosen by local tv station, academic scholar for basketball, and dual enrollment scholar. Brittany also graduated with her Associates of Arts degree in May 2020 as an honor graduate. She completed all of her AA degree dual enrolled, while taking a rigorous high school course load. In the Fall of 2020, Hasty started her undergraduate degree at Ohio Valley University. She graduated Magna cum laude in May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in Biology. In the Fall of 2022, Brittany pursued a graduate degree while accepting a graduate assistantship position at Salem University. Brittany took a rigorous scheduled and completed her Masters degree Summa cum laude in Human and Health Performance.
Hasty is a product of Madison County Florida, where she played basketball and softball at Madison County High School. Brittany is the daughter of Jeff and Peggy Hasty and the sibling to six siblings. Hasty is proud to be raised in a small community that has supported her and helped her reach her academic, athletic, and career goals.
