Katie Clark joined first-year head coach Lindsay Kasten in August of 2017.
The duo embarked on a new adventure together, winning the Southern Athletic Association Championship as the Lynx went 12-5 on the year. Rhodes went 6-0 in conference competition, winning the regular season championship for the fourth year in a row.Â
During the 2017 campaign, three Lynx garnered NFCA All-Region accolades as well as three All-SAA selections.
Before Rhodes, Clark recently coached club team Element, out of Greenfield, Mass. She's also coached various summer camps as well as the USA Futures Level 1 program at UMass in the spring of 2015.Â
A 2017 graduate of the University of Massachusetts (UMass), Clark earned NFHCA Academic honors as well as Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades. The Minutewomen were conference champions in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in 2015 and the Elite Eight in 2013. She played in 17 games her senior year as a midfielder/forward.
Clark hails from Vienna, Va. where she attended Marshall High School, earning four varsity letters in field hockey as a three-year starter. She was also a member of DECA, FBLA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a three-year varsity letter winner in track and field and was also a member of the girl's soccer program. Clark earned 2012 first team All-Region and All-District accolades her senior year and as well as second team All-District honors her junior year. During her senior campaign, the captain and leading scorer led Marshall to the Liberty District finals. She scored the most goals within the district (14) and competed in the National Futures Championship in 2011. During her high school career, she tallied 19 goals while Marshall had its most successful four-year stretch in program history.
