Bre Lowe

Bre Lowe will enter her third season with the Lynx Field Hockey program in the Fall of 2015. In her first year at Rhodes, she helped the Lynx win their fifth consecutive conference championship   A native of Suffolk, Virginia, Lowe is a 2013 graduate of Christopher Newport University.  Lowe earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in both Sociology and Leadership Studies.  During her final semester at CNU, Lowe was an intern for the field hockey team helping to recruit, develop drills, and coach players in practices.  In addition to interning, Lowe worked for the Stick Power Field Hockey Club as the U14 and U12/U10 Coach.  Lowe also coached for Futures for four years, a U.S.A field hockey Olympic development program. She also participated in working at the elite Futures site for the top field hockey athletes in the region.  Lowe previously served as an assistant coach for Heritage High School in Newport News, Virginia.

While playing at CNU, Lowe was an integral part to the team’s success holding down the midfield.  She was named MVP of the 2011 season and played in four NCAA tournaments. Throughout her career, she played in 67 out of a total 70 games. In 2012, she started 19 out of 19 games, had three goals, two assists, and seven defensive saves. 

Off the field, Lowe enjoys volunteering with athletes at Heritage High School, helping to mentor some of the players outside of the game.  Lowe also loves to play soccer, watch baseball, and exercise.
