Ariel Mroz-Brewer

    Assistant Field Hockey Coach

Ariel Mroz-Brewer was hired in the summer of 2019 as the assistant field hockey coach for the Lynx. She will assist head coach Alexis Kavanaugh with all facets of the program, including day-to-day operations, scouting, recruiting, as well as game and practice preparation.

This will be Mroz-Brewer’s second stint as an assistant field hockey coach at an NCAA Division III institution. She comes to Rhodes from Utica College where she began as a graduate assistant for three seasons. She was responsible for developing practice plans and scouting reports as well as recruiting for the Pioneers. Additionally, Mroz-Brewer contributed to the development of the Pioneers' defense, gameday operations, and other administrative tasks.

A four-year member of the Castleton University field hockey team, Mroz-Brewer helped lead the Spartans to back-to-back NCAA Division III Tournament appearances in 2012 and 2013. Over that time, Castleton compiled a 31-12 record. Mroz-Brewer wrapped up her career as the North Atlantic Conference leader with nine defensive saves and was named to the NAC's All-Sportsmanship team in 2015.

Mroz-Brewer is a 2016 graduate of Castleton where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration. She was also a Dean's List honoree in 2013, 2015, and 2016. She received her Master’s in Business Administration at Utica College in May 2019. Outside of field hockey, Mroz-Brewer was the SAAC President from 2013-2016. She also took part in the conference SAAC (NAC-SAAC) as the Secretary from 2015-2016.
