Biography

Shannon Donelson - Aurora, IL. Donelson was 4 year varsity starter for Coach Julie Bergstrom at Waubonsie Valley High School.  The Warriors captured the 2010 IHSA State Championship, while in 2011 and 2009 they were Regional and Sectional Champions.  Donelson was selected as a team captain in 2012.  While with the Chicago Fire Jrs club Donelson was part of 2 Illinois State Championships, a Midwest Regional League Championship, and a Region 2 Semi-Final.  Coach Vari on Donelson - "Shannon plays with that Midwest toughness and never quite attitude.  She's willing to go into tough tackles and never backs down.  She has a great engine that allows her to get forward from her outside back position."
