Game Recap: Rhodes vs. WashU
The Rhodes College football team opened the 2026 season with a 73-0 loss to WashU on Sept. 5 at Crain Field in Memphis, Tenn. WashU built a 49-0 halftime advantage and added 24 points after the break to secure the victory.
Key Performances
Taylor Haas led the Rhodes rushing attack with 108 rushing yards, while Sani Bartlett added 53 yards on the ground. Robert Daniel contributed 22 rushing yards for the Lynx.
Rhodes faced a strong WashU offensive attack throughout the contest, with the Bears totaling 73 points across the four quarters.
Game Highlights
WashU established control early, scoring three touchdowns in the opening quarter to take a 21-0 lead. The Bears continued their offensive production in the second quarter, adding four more touchdowns to take a 49-0 advantage into halftime.
WashU added a 31-yard field goal and another touchdown in the third quarter before scoring twice in the fourth quarter to complete the scoring.
Rhodes will look to regroup and bounce back as it continues the 2026 campaign.
