Game Recap: Rhodes vs. DePauw University
In a tightly contested matchup, the Rhodes College women's soccer team remained perfect on the season with a 1-0 victory over DePauw on Sept. 19 at Francis Olympic Field. The Lynx improved to 6-0-0 after controlling the offensive pressure and breaking through late in the second half.
After a scoreless opening half, Rhodes continued to pressure the DePauw defense before Ella Mullally found the back of the net in the 83rd minute to give the Lynx the decisive 1-0 advantage.
Key Performances
Mullally provided the game-winning goal at 82:31, scoring unassisted to give Rhodes the 1-0 advantage. The goal marked her seventh of the season, as she has now scored in five consecutive matches. Through six matches, Mullally leads the Lynx with seven goals.
The Rhodes defense also delivered a strong performance, limiting DePauw to just three total shots and two shots on goal. Goalkeeper, Lauren Hollis recorded two saves as the Lynx secured their sixth consecutive victory to open the season.

Rhodes controlled the offensive action throughout the match, outshooting DePauw 17-3 and holding a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Lynx also earned six corner kicks compared to one for DePauw.
After a scoreless first half, Rhodes continued to apply pressure before Mullally broke through with just over seven minutes remaining in regulation. The Lynx defense held DePauw without a goal for the remainder of the match to secure the 1-0 shutout.
With the victory, Rhodes improves to 6-0-0 on the season.
