Game Recap: Rhodes vs. No. 3 Berry College
The Rhodes College baseball team used an explosive offensive performance to defeat No. 3 Berry College 12–2 on May 7, 2026, in Rome, Georgia. After falling behind early, the Lynx responded with 12 unanswered runs behind timely hitting, aggressive baserunning, and a dominant complete-game effort from
David Albert to open postseason play in commanding fashion.
Berry struck first with two runs in the opening inning, but Rhodes answered immediately and quickly seized control of the game. The Lynx scored in five different innings and capitalized on defensive miscues to steadily pull away.

David Albert delivered a complete-game victory on the mound, allowing just two runs — only one earned — across seven innings while surrendering six hits. Albert kept Berry off balance throughout the night, inducing 16 ground-ball outs and helping Rhodes escape multiple situations with double plays.
Cooper Kuriger paced the Rhodes offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance that included a solo home run, three runs scored, and an RBI.
Ben Daniel added a pair of hits and two RBIs, highlighted by a two-run double during Rhodes' four-run fifth inning.
Sam Reardon contributed a key two-run single during the decisive third inning, while

Game Highlights
Berry jumped out to an early 2–0 lead in the top of the first inning, but Rhodes quickly responded with a sacrifice fly from
Myles Kruger to cut the deficit in half.
Kuriger tied the game in the second inning with a solo home run to left field before the Lynx erupted for five runs in the third inning. Reardon delivered a two-run single up the middle before Smith followed with another two-run hit to give Rhodes full control of the contest.
The Lynx continued to add on in the fifth inning as Daniel ripped a two-run double to right center.
Cooper Angilly later added an RBI bunt single that helped extend the lead to 11–2.
Kruger capped the scoring in the seventh inning with his second sacrifice fly of the game, bringing home Daniel and sealing the run-rule victory.
