The Rhodes College baseball team continued its strong start to the season, going 3-1 across a four-game stretch that featured an offensive outburst and a dominant shutout on the mound.
Game 1 Recap: Rhodes vs. DePauw University
Rhodes opened out the weekend with a 7-5 setback to DePauw University, as the Lynx were unable to overcome a strong Tiger offense. Rhodes saw contributions throughout the lineup, with multiple players recording hits and driving in runs to keep the game within reach. A late push trimmed the deficit, but timely pitching from the Tigers halted the comeback attempt.

Myles Kruger led the offense for the Lynx, going 2-for-3 with a walk.
Cooper Angilly and
Jace Trozzo also had great contributions at the plate, both going 2-for-4. On the mound,

Game 2 Recap: Rhodes vs. Illinois Wesleyan
Rhodes wasted no time setting the tone in Saturday's game, erupting for 11 runs in the second inning, leading to an 18-6 victory over Illinois Wesleyan.

Clay Richardson set the tone at the plate, each turning in perfect 2-for-2 performances as Rhodes piled up 17 hits on the day. Game 3: Rhodes vs. DePauw University
Rhodes followed its offensive showcase with a pitching clinic in a 6-0 shutout over DePauw on Sunday morning.

Trozzo continued to dominate offensively going 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
Austin Smith also contributed offensively with a double and two RBIs.
Ben Daniel delivered a dominant performance on the mound, throwing six scoreless innings and allowing just one hit while striking out four.
David Albert closed the door with three scoreless frames to secure the combined two-hit shutout.
Despite tallying just five hits, Rhodes made them count, pairing timely hitting with clean defense to move to 7-2.
Game 4: Rhodes vs. Illinois Wesleyan
In the weekend finale, Rhodes erased an early deficit to secure a 6-4 win over Illinois Wesleyan.

Brad Larson and
Jace Trozzo each turned in 2-for-4 performances, helping Rhodes sustain pressure throughout the lineup and keep the Trojans within reach but unable to reclaim momentum. On the mound,
Will May delivered a steady performance in relief, earning the win after 4.2 strong innings in which he allowed just one run.
Andrew Carron closed the door with two scoreless frames, securing the final six outs to lock down the 6-4 victory.
