Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Keene State
The Rhodes College Men's Lacrosse team defeated Keene State 16–9 at Crain Field. After a tightly contested opening quarter, the Lynx surged ahead with a dominant second and third period, showcasing their offensive depth and ability to control the pace of the game. Rhodes trailed late in the first quarter after Keene State rattled off three straight goals, but the Lynx quickly regrouped and took command. A balanced offensive attack and strong play in transition allowed Rhodes to outscore the Owls 14–6 over the final three quarters, turning a one-goal deficit into a decisive home victory.
Key Performances
Griffin Galloway spearheaded the Rhodes attack with an outstanding performance, recording two goals and five assists for a game-high seven points. His playmaking ability consistently opened opportunities for teammates and fueled several key scoring runs.
Several Lynx attackers contributed multiple goals, highlighting the team's balanced offense. Gavin Nagle, Colin Finnigan, John Mori, Tripp Christman, and Wyatt Bounds each scored two goals, while Ford Stratton, Andrew Murphy, Charlie Carmouche, and Dash Seiffer also found the back of the net.
In addition to his scoring, Nagle contributed across the field with four ground balls, while Burke Wade controlled the faceoff X, winning 10 of 18 draws to help Rhodes maintain possession throughout the contest. Defensively, the Lynx were active throughout the game, combining for 38 ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Goalkeeper Blake Jeska anchored the defense with 11 saves in 52 minutes of action, repeatedly turning away Keene State chances and helping Rhodes maintain momentum during crucial stretches.

Rhodes opened the scoring just over a minute into the game when Colin Finnigan finished a feed from John Mori, but Keene State responded with three unanswered goals to take a 3–2 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lynx quickly regained control in the second period. Goals from Galloway, Bounds, Finnigan, and Mori fueled a 4–1 quarter for Rhodes, giving the Lynx a 6–4 halftime advantage. Rhodes delivered the decisive push in the third quarter, erupting for six goals, including a late score from Gavin Nagle with eight seconds remaining in the period to extend the lead to 12–7. The offensive surge continued in the fourth quarter as Christman, Seiffer, and Murphy added insurance goals to secure the 16–9 victory.
