Game Recap: Game 1 vs Washington University
The Rhodes College softball team fell to No. 6 Washington University (Mo.), 10–2, on March 7 in St. Louis. The Bears jumped out early with a six-run first inning and never relinquished control, while the Lynx battled late to get on the board in the seventh.
Washington capitalized on early opportunities, stringing together multiple hits in the opening frame to build a quick advantage. Despite the early deficit, Rhodes continued to pressure on the bases throughout the game and showed resilience late.
Rhodes broke through in the seventh inning with aggressive base running.
Isabella Phelps stole third and scored on a throwing error, while
Talia Travis later stole home to add another run for the Lynx.

Despite a strong offensive showing, the Rhodes College softball team fell to Wisconsin–Whitewater, 6–2, on March 7 in St. Louis.
The Warhawks built an early lead, scoring two runs in both the second and third innings to take control of the game. Rhodes continued to battle at the plate and broke through in the fifth inning.
Kaitlyn Sun delivered a triple to left center that drove in
Athena Gonzales to put the Lynx on the board. Shortly after,
Harper Allee-Press added an RBI single to right center to score Sun and cut the deficit to two runs.
Wisconsin–Whitewater added insurance runs in the sixth inning to secure the victory despite Rhodes finishing with 13 hits in the contest.

The Rhodes College softball team fell to Wisconsin–Whitewater, 8–0, on March 8 in the final game of the St. Louis tournament.
The Warhawks broke through in the second inning with four runs, highlighted by a two-run home run from Maggie Ward, and continued to add to their lead with runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Rhodes collected four hits in the contest, including a double from
Talia Travis, but was unable to generate sustained offense against Wisconsin–Whitewater pitcher Josie Hammen, who tossed a complete-game shutout.

Washington struck first with a two-run single from Alexa Hanish in the second inning. The Lynx responded in the fourth, evening the score at 2–2.
Talia Travis doubled to left center to drive in
Kaitlyn Sun, and
Isabela Barber followed with an RBI single that allowed Travis to score on a throwing error.
The Bears regained the lead later in the inning on an RBI double from Harper Nix and continued to add insurance runs in the fifth and sixth innings to secure the victory.
