Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Pfeiffer University 

In a high intensity match filled with momentum swings, the Rhodes College men's lacrosse team fell to Pfeiffer University, 14-13, in overtime. The contest featured back and forth scoring, multiple lead changes, and clutch goals in the final seconds.

Key Performances

Gavin Nagle led the Lynx, scoring three goals and two assists, consistently capitalizing in transition and man up situations. His play making fueled the offense during scoring runs in the third quarter. Griffin Galloway and Andrew Murphy each added two goals, with Galloway also contributing an assist. Wyatt Bounds delivered a pair of fourth quarter goals.
Colin Finnigan, Charlie Carmouche, Lucas Pagliarulo, and Charlie Clune each found the back of the net, showcasing the Lynx's balanced offense throughout the afternoon.

Game Highlights

Rhodes opened the game strong, trading goals early in a high scoring first quarter that ended tied 5 to 5. Pfeiffer carried a slim 9 to 7 advantage into halftime, but the Lynx responded with an offensive flow in the third quarter. Nagle's goal with five seconds gave Rhodes its first lead of the game at 11 to 10. In the fourth quarter, Bounds scored twice in just under a minute to push Rhodes ahead, 13-12. Pfeiffer answered with a game tying goal with four seconds left in regulation, forcing overtime where the Lynx ultimately fell 14-13.
