Men's Swimming and Diving in 3rd in Day 1 of SAA Championships

The Lynx finished the first day of the SAA Championship in 3rd place, behind Centre College and Trinity University, respectively. 

In the first 6 events of the championship, the Lynx demonstrated their strong team effort in the medley and relay events. The Men's swim and dive A-team (Josh Denckhoff, Jack Whitten, Jeb Brownell, Jonas Hostetler) took 2nd place in the 200 Yard Medley, outperforming the previous meet record for a time of 1:28.96. The B-team (Aron Maloney, Francesco Assalone, Holden Smythe, Nick Kunst) in the 200 Yard Medley took 3rd with a time of 1:34.08. 

For the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay, the A-team (Philip Mu, Will Wertenberger, Liam Ashton, Josh Denckhoff) took 3rd with a time of 6:49.29.

  • Centre College (1st) vs. Trinity University (2nd) vs. Rhodes College (3rd): 177 - 138 - 101

Looking ahead: Day 2 of the SAA Championship

Rhodes continues into the championship, with Thursday, February 12th, providing the swimmers an individual chance to demonstrate their skill and determination. Fans are encouraged to support the Lynx as they swim for the number one spot in the SAA.
