The Rhodes women' s cross country team opened the 2025 season at the Bob Gravett Invitational hosted by Ouachita Baptist University. The Lynx were led by sophomore Elena Gentry, covering the 5000m course in 17:52 and capturing the individual title.  Junior Anna Cantrell finished 3rd overall in 18:07 followed by sophomore Caroline Wilder (19:07), sophomore Nina Brown (19:10), and freshman Emmaline Ritter (19:11). Senior Vivian Kalb (19:46), and sophomore Silvia Hernandez (19:48) rounded out the top 7. Rhodes finished 3rd among scoring teams behind Ouachita Baptist and Arkansas Tech.
 
The Lynx showed great depth by placing 16 runners under 21 minutes. "The entire group did a great job taking care of business over the summer and it showed today", said head Coach Robert Shankman. "This is the best depth that we have had in recent years and we're excited to move into the core of our season".
 
The Lynx will race next at the Rhodes Invitational at Shelby Farms on September 20th.
