At the Rhodes Invitational, the women's cross country team turned in a strong performance, finishing second overall with 74 points, trailing only Arkansas State (40) and edging out Mississippi College (80) and Memphis (86) in a competitive field of 13 teams.
The Lynx were led by Anna Cantrell, who clocked 18:29.9 for a third-place overall finish. Close behind was Elena Gentry in fifth place at 18:30.7, keeping Rhodes near the front of the pack early. Nina Brown secured a top-10 finish with her 19:01.3 effort, while Caroline Wilder (29th, 19:53.7), Vivian Kalb (30th, 19:53.9), and Emmaline Ritter (31st, 19:53.9) formed a tight scoring group that gave Rhodes valuable depth.
Further strengthening the lineup, Abby MacLean (44th, 20:47.0), Sienna Collier (46th, 20:51.7), and Ellie Spears (50th, 21:07.2) all placed within the top 50. Rounding out the top seven for Rhodes was Mary Mestas (52nd, 21:12.0), who, along with several teammates close behind, showcased the team's consistency across the board.
With multiple top-30 finishes and a strong spread from their lead runner to their final scorer, Rhodes demonstrated both front-running strength and pack depth, securing a runner-up team finish in a crowded field.
