Over the weekend, the Men's tennis team finished their season in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Lynx were seeded No.2 heading into the SAA championship, automatically putting them through to the semifinals. After winning a quarterfinal match against Hendrix, Oglethorpe University advanced to take on the Lynx. Despite beating the Stromy Petrels a few weeks ago, the Lynx unfortunately fell 2-4. The Lynx got behind early by falling to Oglethorpe at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions and therefore, giving them the doubles point. On the singles side,
Christian Mainella displayed a strong performance, beating his opponent in 3 sets.
Topher Thornberry was the other individual victor for the Lynx. He won his match in straight sets, 6-4,6-2. The Lynx had a great season, finishing 12-7 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
