With precision, teamwork, and standout individual displays, Rhodes left no doubt about their determination to once again claim the conference title.
From the opening whistle, Rhodes established themselves as the dominant force. Though Berry struck first, Rhodes quickly answered, with Anna Erskine tying the game and igniting a relentless offensive surge. Erskine, who would finish with a career high seven goals, was nearly unstoppable, weaving through defenders and capitalizing on every opportunity. By the end of the first quarter, the Lynx had built a 4-2 lead, setting the tone for the match.
In the second quarter, Rhodes demonstrated their depth and composure. In the fourth quarter, Rhodes delivered the finishing touches to their dominant performance. Heidrick, who had been a crucial playmaker throughout the game, scored a goal of her own and added two assists. With this resounding win, Rhodes advances to the SAA championship for the tenth consecutive season, where they will face rival Sewanee for the conference title in Sewanee, Tenn., on May 3 at noon.
