Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lacrosse Crush Warriors to Become Regular Season Champs

In a decisive showdown under the lights in Conway, Arkansas, the Rhodes Lynx continued their dominant season with a commanding 19-7 win over the Hendrix Warriors. Improving their record to 11-4 overall and an undefeated 6-0 in conference play.

Rhodes wasted no time establishing control, opening the scoring with Drew Downes converting a slick pass from Drew Litner. The duo continued their synergy, combining for multiple early goals. Andrew Murphy added his own flair, tallying a goal and providing key assists. Hendrix's Nick Quarles kept the Warriors in the fight with two unassisted goals in the first quarter, but the Lynx closed out the period up 5-2.

Hendrix managed to find the net twice more in the second quarter. However, Rhodes countered with three unanswered goals, highlighted by Downes' precision and Litner's sharp playmaking, extending the lead to 8-4 by halftime.

Rhodes shifted into high gear after the break. John Mori sparked the offense with back-to-back unassisted goals, followed by Martin Maxim's dynamic two-goal performance in the third quarter. Wyatt Bounds, Liam Sullivan, and Geist Pollock joined the scoring spree, leaving the Warriors scrambling to contain the relentless attack. By the end of the third, Rhodes had surged to a commanding 15-5 lead.

In the final quarter, the Lynx showed no signs of slowing. Nate Simon, Ford Stratton, and Charlie Carmouche each found the back of the net, solidifying the team's dominance.

The Lynx (11-4, 6-0 SAA) picked third in the conference preseason poll, went unbeaten in league play and won the regular season to earn the top-seed in the 2025 SAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament. They will ride a six-game winning streak into the postseason when they host the semifinals and final of the tournament in Memphis on Crain Field, May 2-4. Rhodes will play the winner of four-seed Berry and five-seed Southwestern.
