Coming off of a clutch series victory on the road at Hendrix, the Rhodes College Baseball team returned home for a single game against the Belhaven Blazers. The Blazers offense came to play as they plated 17 runs and secured the win.
The Lynx offense got off to a hot start, as Cooper Kuriger singled up the middle to score 2 runs, followed by a sacrifice fly to from Corbin Kinder to tie the game at 3. Brad Larson also recorded an RBI with a single that drove in Cooper Kuriger. Brad Larson led the team in hits, going 2-5 and recording an RBI.
Unfortunately, the early offensive effort would not be enough to keep the Blazers down, and the Lynx would lose by a final score of 17-6. The Lynx will be back in action this weekend as they play an important conference series against the Millsaps Majors. There will be a double header on Saturday followed by game 3 on Sunday.
