The Women's Tennis Team traveled to Orlando, Florida for their spring break and will be competing in four matches total while in the Sunshine State. Thus Far, they have played Kenyon College and North Park University. On Monday, the Lynx took on #20 ranked Kenyon College but unfortunately fell 0-7. The day started with three competitive doubles matches, but the Kenyon College Owls saw victories in all three. Gracie Rask and Emma McHale displayed a strong fight at the No. 1 position, as the match needed a tiebreak to decide the victor. The individual matches were all tough battles, but the Owls dominated the Lynx and swept all 6 spots. Despite the tough loss on Monday, the Lynx were able to quickly bounce back on Tuesday against North Park University with a victory by a score of 6-1. The three doubles pairings for the Lynx were all victorious, securing the doubles point to give them the early advantage. On the singles side, Gracie Rask at the No. 1 position fought a hard battle and prevailed in a tiebreak. Zainab Baba showed a strong performance but unfortunately fell at the No. 3 spot in a tiebreak. Other individual wins came from Emma McHale, Lilly Higgins, Sofia Rodriguez, and Violet Taub. The Lynx will continue their 4-day match stretch with two more matches against Franklin and Marshall College on Wednesday and Haverford College on Thursday.
