On Saturday, February 8, the Rhodes College Lynx fell to the Millsaps College Majors 64-82 in their second SAA matchup of the season. 

Key Performances: 

• Kaleb Green led the scoring for Rhodes with 16 points, showcasing his versatility by shooting 7-17 from the field, including two three-pointers. He also contributed 4 rebounds and a block.
• Zavien Williams provided a significant spark off the bench, scoring 13 points on 3-10 shooting and a perfect 5-6 from the free-throw line. His defensive tenacity added 3 steals to his stat line.
• Shawn Jones Jr. anchored the team on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds (3 offensive) and contributing 5 points. His presence in the paint was a key factor in Rhodes' rebounding efforts. 

Rhodes took to the court against Millsaps with determination, leaning on their hustle and rebounding to stay competitive. Kaleb Green led the charge with 16 points, showing his scoring versatility, while Zavien Williams provided a spark off the bench with 13 points and 3 steals. Shawn Jones Jr. dominated the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds and creating second-chance opportunities.

Despite their effort, Rhodes struggled offensively, shooting just 31.4% overall and 15.6% from beyond the arc. Their defense, however, forced 12 turnovers and recorded 9 steals, showcasing their tenacity.

Though Millsaps pulled away for an 82-64 win, Rhodes' resilience and key contributions highlighted their potential for future matchups

Looking Forward: Rhodes vs. Sewanee

The Lynx will take on Sewanee on Friday, February 14, at 8:00 PM in Mallory Gymnasium.  

Historical Matchup Overview: 

The Lynx will be taking on the Tigers for the second time this season. The first matchup at Sewanee resulted in a 3 point loss for the Lynx. They will look to get even on their home court.
