Rhodes Secure a Large Win Against Centre in Regular Season Finale

MEMPHIS, TN – The Rhodes College Lynx delivered a dominant performance, securing a 90-69 victory over the Centre College Colonels in their season finale at Mallory Gymnasium. The Lynx controlled the pace from start to finish, capitalizing on second-chance opportunities and strong bench contributions to seal the win.

Key Performances: From the opening tip, Rhodes came out aggressive, knocking down six three-pointers in the first half while applying defensive pressure to limit Centre's offensive rhythm. The Lynx went into halftime shooting 41.2% from the field, holding a strong lead. In the second half, Rhodes turned it up, shooting 52.9% from the field and getting to the free-throw line with efficiency, converting 11-of-13 attempts. The Lynx demonstrated depth with 36 bench points, led by Sam Maddox, who made a big impact from beyond the arc. Kaleb Green's three-point shooting and ability to drive inside kept Rhodes in control, while Jack Dempsey's rebounding helped secure second-chance opportunities, leading to 21 second-chance points. Defensively, the Lynx capitalized on turnovers, converting into 17 points. A balanced offense highlighted by 10 made three-pointers allowed Rhodes to dictate the pace throughout the game.
