The Rhodes women's cross country team delivered a strong team effort in a deep and competitive 6K Blue race, facing a large field of high-level competition at the Lousiville Cross Country Classic. The Lynx showed poise and toughness throughout the race, with several athletes making major moves over the middle stages to gain positioning and finish with momentum. The group displayed depth, late-race strength, and leadership up front.

Sophomore Elena Gentry led the way as the top Rhodes finisher, placing 18th overall with a time of 22:13.8. Gentry executed one of the most impressive surges in the race, climbing from 75th at the 2.1k mark to break into the top 20 by the finish, setting the standard for the team.

Junior Anna Cantrell followed as the second scorer for the Lynx, finishing 35th in 22:50.6. Cantrell moved steadily through the field, jumping nearly 50 spots after the opening mile and closing strong to secure a top-40 finish.

Freshman and sophomore combinations added important depth in the middle of the lineup. Each athlete gained valuable experience against a fast field and contributed to the team's overall pack presence, with multiple Lynx making late moves to pick off competitors in the final kilometer.

The Lynx demonstrated growth, consistency, and competitiveness from top to bottom, highlighted by strong front-running from Gentry and Cantrell, disciplined pack running in the middle, and resilience across all scoring positions. The performance showed promising momentum as Rhodes continues to build through the season.
