The first half was a battle for the Lynx, as they struggled to execute their plays and take advantage of any defensive lapses their opponent had. Turnovers caused Rhodes to start off slow as Berry came in rolling, going up 7-2 four minutes into the half. Rhodes's offense kick started around the fifteen minute mark. They tied the game 11-11 at 13:26 and even went up by two twice. However, after that they played from behind the entire half by just a few points. Berry's ball movement put a lot of pressure on Rhodes's scrambling defense. The Vikings's possessions almost always resulted in points being scored. The score at halftime was 37-39 with Rhodes being down by two.
The game was in Berry's control with their biggest lead being 68-52 with 7:49 to go. Rhodes's resilience and toughness revealed itself as they went on a five minute 14-2 run. With two minutes remaining Rhodes put together a series of impressive stops and steals to give themselves a chance. With nine seconds to go Rhodes stole the ball and put up a three with hopes to tie the ballgame.Unfortunately. their three pointer missed and Rhodes was defeated 74-77.
