Women's soccer best the Ozarks in Arkansas

Clarksville, AR– The Rhodes Women's Soccer team achieved a 6-0 win against the Ozarks University Eagles this Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Despite a low-scoring first half, going up 1-0 into the break, the Lynx came out strong and scored another 5 in the second half. Yet another strong victory takes their record to 5-2 on the year.

Rhodes took the lead with a goal by Senior Megan Propp after 34 minutes. Despite going into the second half with only a goal between the two teams, Rhodes quickly asserted their dominance and took complete control of the game. After earning a penalty kick, Megan Propp scored her second on the night to take her goal tally up to 5 for the season with a staggering 14 points. Within 2 minutes, the Lynx grabbed another goal via Senior Mary Gale Godwin, marking her fourth of the year. Junior Midfielder Grace Culver documented her first goal of the year shortly after. Finally, seniors Leila Robinson and Esther Lamb scored the final two goals of the night to close the match out.
