Last Saturday, 9/7, Rhodes Men's and Women's Cross Country opened up their season at the Trevecca Opener in Nashville, TN. Both the men and women competed in 5K races. 

For the women, freshman Elena Gentry had an excellent performance, finishing 9th with a time of 19:05.8. Sienna Collier finished for the Lynx with a time of 20:23.8. The Women's team finished the competition with 86 points, coming in 4th as a team. 

On the men's side, the Lynx team finished second overall with 67 points. The top men's racers were Daniel Blaich, who came in at 16:14.3, and Austin Rhea, who came in at 16:19. 


The next meet for Lynx Cross Country will be the Rhodes Opener, hosted in Memphis, TN, at Shelby Farms Park. The races will start at 8 AM and feature many teams across all divisions in the Mid-South region.
