In Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the Rhodes Women's tennis team competed in Day 1 of the SAA tournament, earning a victory against Birmingham-Southern College 5-2.
At No. 2 doubles, Gracie Rask and Emma McHale won 8-1, starting the Lynx off strong and laying the groundwork for the rest of the match. Cami Lowry and Zainab Baba won at the No. 3 doubles position 8-4.
On the singles side, Emma McHale won at the No. 3 position, Zainab Baba won at the No. 4 position, and Sofia Rodriguez won at the No. 6 position. With those three singles victories and the two doubles victories, the Lynx clinched the victory.
The Lynx advance to the semi-finals of the tournament and will play Berry College on Saturday, April 27, at 1 p.m.
