Over the weekend, the Women's Tennis Team traveled to Georgia to take on two conference opponents. They competed against Berry College on Saturday, April 6th, and Oglethorpe University on Sunday, April 7th.
On Saturday, the Lynx fell to Berry College in a close match 4-5. At the No.2 doubles position,
Gracie Rask and
Emma McHale won 8-6. At the No. 3 doubles spot,
Cami Lowry and
Zainab Baba got the win for the Lynx in a tiebreaker. On the singles side,
Emma McHale won at the No. 3 position, and
Esme Benjamin won at the No. 6 position.
On Sunday, the Lynx bounced back and won their match against Oglethorpe 9-0. On the doubles side,
Meher Mishra and
Sofia Rodriguez won at the No. 1 position,
Gracie Rask and
Emma McHale won at the No. 2 position, and
Esme Benjamin and
Anna Rush won at the No. 3 position. The Lynx were equally victorious on the singles, with wins coming from
Meher Mishra,
Zainab Baba,
Esme Benjamin,
Sofia Rodriguez,
Cami Lowry, and
Anna Rush.
The Lynx will next face Christian Brothers University on April 10 at 3 pm.
