The Rhodes Women's Tennis team has had a busy spring break in Hilton Head Island, SC. They have competed against Stevenson University, Quincy University, and Coe College.
They opened their 4-match stretch on Monday against Stevenson University with an impressive 9-0 victory. The Lynx displayed strong performances all around, with notable wins from Cami Lowry and Anna Rush, who both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.
On Tuesday, the Lynx fell to Quincy University 2-5. At No. 2 doubles, Cami Lowry and Zainab Baba won a competitive match 7-5. On the singles side, Gracie Rask won the sole singles match for the Lynx, but there were strong performances at each position.
On Wednesday, the Lynx won 7-2 against Coe College. All three doubles teams for the Lynx were successful and earned victories. Gracie Rask, Sofia Rodriguez, Zainab Baba, and Cami Lowry earned singles victories for the Lynx.
The team finished their busy week in Hilton Head Island with an 8-1 victory against Messiah University on Friday.
At No.1 doubles, Cami Lowry and Zainab Baba won 8-2. Sofia Rodriguez and Esme Benjamin won 8-3 at the No. 2 doubles position and Anna Rush and Mijntje Blank won 8-0 at the No. 3 position. On the singles side, victories came from Emma McHale, Sofia Rodriguez, Esme Benjamin, Mijntje Blank, and Taylor Nash.
The Lynx move to 5-4 on the season and will face Christian Brothers University in their next match on March 22.
