The Rhodes Men's tennis team has had a busy spring break thus far, already competing in matches against East Texas Baptist University, Southwestern University, and Concordia University Texas.
The Lynx opened their busy week with a 7-2 win over East Texas Baptist University on Saturday, March 9 in Marshall, TX. At No.1 doubles, Nicholas Miloi and Daniel Trudell fell short in a tiebreaker 7-8. At No. 2 doubles, Christian Mainella and Paul Fridman also fell in a tiebreaker. Following those two tough losses, however, the Lynx earned victories in the remaining seven positions to finish the day with a victory.
On Sunday, the Lynx suffered their first loss of the season 4-5 to Southwestern University. Nicholas Miloi and Owen Kohler won the sole doubles match for the lynx 8-5. On the singles side, Paul Fridman, Nicholas Miloi, and Gabe Williams picked up victories for the lynx.
On Monday, the Lynx fell short 2-7 in their match against Concordia Texas. The doubles teams fought hard, but unfortunately fell short at all three positions. Oliver Bonovich won his No. 3 singles match for the Lynx in three sets. Nicholas Miloi picked up the other victory for the Lynx at the No. 5 position.
The Lynx look to bounce back on Wednesday, March 13 against Trinity University (TX). The match will start at 3pm.
