On Saturday, Rhodes played  (#20) Hampden Sydney in Farmville, Virginia at Lewis C. Everitt Stadium. Despite the final score of 18-10 in the Tigers favor, The Lynx showed resolve and competitiveness throughout the game. Rhodes led 2-0 early, but Hampden Sydney stayed composed and knotted the score at 2-2 after the 1st quarter. The Tigers took advantage of a non-releasable penalty and scored two to gain a cushion and led 6-3 at halftime.
The second half was more wide open and both teams netted started to push the tempo with the Tigers making good use of their transition opportunities and started to build a larger lead 12-6 after 3 quarters of action. Early on in the 4th, The Lynx cut the Tigers lead to 13-8 with just over 10 minutes left, but wasn't able to cut the gap to 4.
The Lynx playing their second top 20 program in a week are growing and learning quickly. The Lynx return home to play back in Memphis, TN.
