The Rhodes College Men's cross country team was in Memphis, Tennessee this past weekend, competing in the Southern Athletic Association Conference Championship Meet. The Lynx ran an 8K race to compete for the conference title, placing fourth overall with 102 points.
Senior Austin Rhea and junior Daniel Blaich led the way for the Lynx, finishing 15th and 16th overall with times of 26:28.39 and 26:31.03. Diego Donald crossed the line soon after in 20th place with a time of 26:49.80. Four other Lynx contributed to the team's 102 points: Jack Sullivan, Jack Hinds, Nick Parker, and Owen Foster placed 37th, 40th, 41st, and 51st overall.
With impressive times from the SAA Championship, the Lynx are now looking forward to the NCAA DIII Regional Championships in Clinton, Mississippi, on November 16th, where they hope to improve their individual and team times to have a chance to qualify for the DIII national championship race.
