The Lynx Volleyball team traveled to to Danville, KY this weekend to compete in the SAA Confrence Championship. Centre College is hosting this weekends tournament. The Lynx recieve the 4th seed heading into the tournament and first faced off against the Oglethorpe Petrels with the 5th seed. The Lynx head into the tournament with an overall record 14-13 and an SAA record of 6-6.Â

Key Performances:
 The Lynx heading into today match, were 1-1 against the Petrels this season. The Lynx started out a little slow in the first set, with Oglethorpe holding the game momentum. The first set finished with a score of 22-25, Petrels. The Lynx in the second set again got stumped by an early service run from the Petrels, and had a 5 point deficit at 8-13. The gap was too large for the Lynx to recover and they fell in the second set, 16-25.
The third set was a turning point for the Lynx. The team, with a new fire, came out ready to battle it out against the Petrels and were determined not to be sent home without a fight. Two back to back kills from
Yzzi Dsamou closed out the close 3rd set with a Lynx win, 25 - 23. The Petrels, rattled by this Lynx surge, struggled offensively in the 4th set. Rhodes took advantage of thier momentum taking the 4th set, 25- 23, sending the match into the tiebreaker 5th set.Â
The Lynx again taking advantage of their comeback momentum, dominated in the 5th set.
Meg Gebhart led a 6 point service run, creating a 8-1 lead. The Lynx closed out this reverse sweep with a win, 15-7 . Lynx advance! Roll Lynx!
