Friday night, the Rhodes College Lynx took on the Millsaps College Majors. Both teams came into this contest undefeated in conference play, with Rhodes going 3-0 and Millsaps sitting at 4-0.

Throughout the first half, shots weren't falling for Rhodes as their shooting percentages were 30% from the field and 11% from three. They kept the game close because they kept getting to the free line and held Millsaps to only 8 points in the second quarter. The halftime score was 31-28, with Rhodes up by 3. 

The last two quarters were rough for the Lynx, as they needed to hit shots. The Majors weren't shooting great either, but there were moments when they disrupted the Lynx's momentum by getting steals, which led to fastbreak points or timely offensive putbacks that resulted in and-ones. The difference in this game was that the Majors consistently brought to the free throw through the entire game, as they had twice the number of free attempts than the Lynx. The Lynx shot four free throws in the second half, all coming in the third quarter.

The Lynx received their first loss in conference play to the Majors, 55-61. Their leading scorer for this ball game was Catherine Althoff, who recorded a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Lynx look to bounce back as they take on the Birmingham-Southern College Panthers on Sunday.
