GENEVA, NY (May 14, 2023) -- The Rhodes Women's Lacrosse season ended on Sunday in the NCAA Tournament Second Round as the Lynx fell to William Smith 17-1. The Lynx conclude their 2023 campaign with a 15-6 record while William Smith won their 19th straight game and advanced to the regional round.
The Herons, ranked 3rd nationally, ended the Lynx season by jumping out to an early 9-0 by the end of the first quarter. Lynx struggled to gain possession on the draw while the Herons dictated pace and time of possession.
While William Smith began the second half with a 14-0 advantage, Rhodes stepped up the intensity and held the Herons to only three goals in the final 30 minutes of the game, including a scoreless fourth quarter.

Anna Erskine at 12:45 in the fourth quarter to score the lone Lynx goal.
Senior
Emma Bradley played all 60 minutes in cage, recording 10 saves along with a team-high 3 groundballs and 3 caused turnovers. Kardian added four draw controls on the day, bringing her total to 138, becoming only the third player in Rhodes history to record over 130 draw controls on a season.

Rhodes concluded an impressive season in which the team recorded their 8th straight conference championship.
- Senior Emily Bruner ends her Rhodes career as the record holder for most assists in a single season (103), most points in a single season (130), most career assists (275) and third all-time for career points (346).
- Emma Bradley made a significant impact in cage, setting the record for career wins by a goalie (44). career saves (409), saves in a single-season (161), and tied the record for most saves in a game (18).
- Carina Wesker hit the 100 goal milestone this year and ended her career with 127 goals and 31 assists along with 153 draw controls, 4th in Rhodes history. Wesker scored a career-high five goals in this year's SAA tournament win over Oglethorpe.
- Grace Williams scored a career-high best 10 goals this season and leaves behind a legacy as founder and president of the Rhodes College chapter of Morgan's Message, a group instrumental in mental health advocacy.
