LYNX CONTINUE TO ROLL WITH DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP

GAME ONE:
 
The Lynx were back at it on Saturday, taking the first game of a split-doubleheader against SAA opponent Millsaps by a score of 5-2.
 
Nick Ferazzi took the mound for the Lynx. Ferazzi went 7 strong innings, giving up only 2 runs while punching out 7. 
 
Down 2-0  in the bottom of the 5th, a wild pitch scored Malcolm Rohlfing. Then, John McNair lifted a SAC fly into left, knotting the score at 2. One batter later, Ben Burkhart singled, scoring the go-ahead run in Dante Messina. 
 
In the 7th, the Lynx scored two more runs coming off the bats of John McNair and Ben Wilson, who each singled. 
 
Ferazzi was relieved by William May, who tossed two scoreless innings, earning his second save of the year. 
 
GAME TWO:
 
Zac Sohosky took the bump in game two of the split-doubleheader, tossing 5 ⅓ innings, giving up 4 runs, and punching out 4. 
 
The Lynx jumped on Millsaps Ace Wil Wood early. In the 2nd, Wood Kimbrough singled, scoring Quinn Blackman. Then, an error allowed him to score. Gunnar Vachris then walked, scoring Bryce Anderson, and Dante Messina lifted a SAC fly to score Peter York, bringing the total to 4 runs in the second. 
 
In the 4th, Dante Messina's franchise record-tying seventh triple of the season scored Gunnar Vachris from first base. 
 
In the 5th, the Lynx broke the game open, scoring three more runs on RBI knocks from Bryce Anderson and Dante Messina, as well as an RBI fielders choice by Gunnar Vachris, bringing the score to 8-3.
 
John Fears came in in relief of Sohosky, pitching the final 1 ⅔ innings, and sealing the doubleheader sweep.
